Registered Surveyor – Road Infrastructure Projects

Role Overview

As a Registered Surveyor specialising in road infrastructure projects, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the precision and accuracy of surveys critical to the successful completion of major road construction. Your technical expertise and commitment to excellence will help drive the quality and delivery of these projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct topographic, boundary, set-out, and as-built surveys for road construction and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Use Topcon and other high-precision survey equipment to ensure accurate survey data.
  • Interpret and implement engineering designs on-site to ensure all construction aligns with design specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to meet survey requirements throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide detailed as-built data, survey reports, and field notes in compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain calibration and operational efficiency of survey equipment.
  • Uphold industry standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance in all surveying activities.

About You:

  • A degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Registered with the Surveyors Board of Queensland (SBQ) or equivalent body.
  • 3-5 years of experience in engineering surveying, with a strong focus on road infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in Synergy Survey-Profile or similar systems for road profiling, AutoCAD, and 12d for drafting and data management.
  • Exceptional accuracy in data collection and reporting, with the ability to interpret complex civil engineering designs and drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations on road construction sites.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
