Mr Blake has found that by implementing&nbsp;the iDig 2D machine control system&nbsp;from Aptella he has been able to avoid the regular challenges he encounters on site.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThere\u2019re no specific challenges we\u2019re encountering on the site here, because we\u2019re equipped with all the resources we need, and our team of operators also have all the latest technology available for them to carry out the works,\u201d said Mr Blake.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe find the iDig system is working really well with the machines, the integration is seamless and we\u2019re getting some great efficiencies out of our equipment, and the guys love it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Why did Houlmann Blake Excavations choose the iDig 2D machine control system?<br \/>Mr Blake was looking for a laser indicate system for his machines and had been researching these systems for quite some time when he came across the&nbsp;iDig 2D machine control system&nbsp;from Aptella. He chose the iDig system because he was looking to improve both efficiencies and safety on site.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe chose the iDig system because we were looking for greater efficiencies on site with our equipment and our people, and we\u2019ve obtained that. We were also looking to minimise the risk for the workers on site and the clientele that we\u2019re working for have seen that and they love it!\u201d said Mr Blake.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr Blake has implemented this system across three of his excavators and is now running the iDig 2D machine control system on a 12t, 20t and 27t excavator.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt\u2019s quite amazing this technology, it just operates seamlessly with the machines,\u201d said Mr Blake.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis iDig system, we\u2019ve gone for this one because it\u2019s a very portable system, we can use it between machines. Although I now have three of them!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIf at any stage we change our equipment over, the system is portable, and we can just take that off and take it with us. We also found that it was the most economical on the market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.positionpartners.co.nz\/uploaded\/Houlmann_Blake_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" class=\"img-responsive\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">How has implementing the iDig 2D machine control system changed the way Houlmann Blake Excavations operates?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to implementing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.positionpartners.co.nz\/product-categories\/machine-systems\/2d-machine-control\/idig-touch.htm\">iDig 2D machine control<\/a> system&nbsp;from Aptella, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/HB_EX\/\">Houlmann Blake Excavations<\/a> would have approached the basement excavation job they\u2019re currently working on differently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr Blake explained that previously they would have needed more personnel on site and would have needed to have a laser system set up.
