This introductory course is designed for all users who are new to Pocket 3D or looking to build confidence using Topcon GNSS solutions in the field.
Participants will develop the practical skills required to confidently set up and operate their equipment, manage project data, localise to site control, complete surveying tasks, perform construction stakeout, and verify earthworks using cut/fill checks. The course focuses on establishing efficient workflows that improve productivity, accuracy, and confidence in day-to-day site operations.
A strong emphasis is placed on practical learning, with participants completing real-world field exercises using Pocket 3D and Topcon equipment. These hands-on activities reinforce the concepts covered throughout the course and provide experience with the workflows commonly performed on construction and civil projects.

The Advanced Pocket 3D course is designed for experienced users who have mastered the core functionality of Pocket 3D and are looking to expand their knowledge of advanced field and office workflows. Building on the skills developed in the introductory course, participants will learn techniques that improve productivity, enhance data accuracy, and maximise the value of their Topcon positioning technology.
The course places a strong emphasis on project data preparation and management, demonstrating how to use office software to review, validate, convert, and optimise design files before they are deployed to the field. Participants will also explore advanced Pocket 3D functionality, including complex site localisation, road and trench stakeout, volume calculations, as-built reporting, and advanced coordinate system management.
Delivered through a combination of instructor-led demonstrations and practical, real-world exercises, this course provides participants with the confidence to manage more complex construction and surveying projects while improving workflow efficiency, reducing rework, and producing reliable project deliverables.

The Total Station Operation course is designed to provide participants with the practical skills and confidence required to safely and accurately operate Topcon Total Stations in surveying and construction environments. Suitable for new and existing users, the course covers the fundamental principles of total station operation, equipment setup, measurement techniques, and best-practice field workflows.
Participants will learn how to correctly set up and configure a total station, perform accurate angle and distance measurements, establish instrument orientation, and collect reliable survey data for construction set-out and as-built applications.Â
The course also introduces common field procedures, quality assurance techniques, and basic troubleshooting to help users achieve consistent and accurate results. With a strong emphasis on practical learning, participants will complete instructor-led field exercises using Topcon Total Stations to reinforce the concepts covered throughout the day.

- Identify the components, functionality, and capabilities of Topcon Total Stations
