Aptella, in collaboration with Class Of Your Own Australia, is delighted to invite you to the official launch of the award-winning Design Engineer Construct! (DEC) learning programme.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we introduce this globally acclaimed curriculum that bridges the gap between education and industry through real-world, sustainability-focused STEM learning.

The following topics will be run in 30-minute presentations with 4 topics per session block.

This format is to ensure you have the opportunity to attend all presentations. 

Note: DEC will run a special topic session at 5:30pm as outlined on the right, otherwise all session presentations will be the same.

  • What is the DEC Programme?
    Gain insights into the DEC programme and how it’s educating the Future of Construction in schools.

  • Civil Construction
    Discover the role of civil works in construction and the impact of smart technologies.

  • Geospatial & Building
    Learn about advanced positioning systems and large data tools for site analysis, including building applications.

  • Design Software
    Explore cutting-edge design software used in the built environment industry.

DEC Specific Sessions

These sessions will be an overview of the Design Engineer Construct! Programme

  • Empowers teachers to bring Surveying, Design, Engineering and Construction to life for children and young people
  • Develops work-ready skills for a digital Built Environment
  • Helps schools and employers deliver meaningful engagement and social impact
  • Creates a pipeline of extraordinary built environment talent for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games – and beyond!

5:30pm – 6:00pm 
Special Topic Focus: DEC and Social Value – How organisations use the DEC programme to create lasting positive impacts on communities, the environment and the economy.
