Field Service Technician – Weighing

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Weighing Field Service Technician to join our expanding NSW team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, servicing, calibration, and repair of various weighing systems. These systems are used on machinery and equipment, including wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, material handlers, telehandlers and conveyors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our region achieves and retains its position in the market while upholding the highest standards of customer service.

Key Attributes: 

  • Preferred experience in the weighing field.
  • Proficiency in auto electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read & understand schematics, technical drawings & manuals.
  • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to company and customer success.
  • Willingness to work away at reasonable notice.
  • Capability to work independently and unsupervised in remote areas.
  • HR license advantageous.
  • Forklift, crane or dogman experience advantageous but not essential.
  • An understanding of the NMI certification process advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain & contribute to a safe and respectful work environment.
  • System Installation.
  • Installation and removal of components to heavy machinery.
  • Conduct technical inspections and estimations.
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings and instructions for new installations.
  • Source technical information from manuals, OEM, and computer-based systems.
  • Verify calibrations to NMI standards and provide comprehensive reports.
  • Complete administration tasks such as pre-starts, job sheets, timesheets, and client reports.
  • Proactively communicate service activities and product quality issues to area managers.
  • Attend training to attain the complete skillset required to undertake the role. This would include HR license, forklift, crane, NMI certification, hydraulic, electrical & product training.
