Intelligent positioning and automation solutions provider has acquired New Zealand business Hale & Associates, consolidating support for MAGNET Office and NZ Traverse customers across New Zealand and Australia.

Aptella, formerly Position Partners, distributes MAGNET survey software throughout Australia. The acquisition of Hale & Associates will see the company consolidate its service and support offering for the platform across New Zealand, with access to a wider support network and fast response times to customer enquiries.

NZ Traverse has also been acquired by Aptella and will continue to be supported by the company’s New Zealand business, based in Auckland. Designed to assist New Zealand surveyors to compute and control cadastral data effectively, NZ Traverse includes comprehensive checking and reporting on the accuracy of data, to meet cadastral survey rules. It is fully compliant with Landonline.

“Our team has a unique capability to support New Zealand MAGNET and NZ Traverse customers through the combined expertise of our Australian and New Zealand businesses,” says Alex Felgate, New Zealand General Manager at Aptella.

Customers can access a dedicated survey software support team, with a hotline and email ticketing system that guarantees a response within 30 minutes between the hours of 9:30am – 9pm New Zealand time.

With a team of surveyors and software experts that have many decades of combined experience with the platform, Aptella’s network includes representatives throughout Australia’s west and east coast, as well as New Zealand.

“We will continue to support customers throughout the region and advocate on their behalf with Topcon’s software development team to continuously refine and improve the solution,” says Adam Burke, Geospatial Business Executive Manager at Aptella. “Our team has worked with the software since its earliest releases as CivilDes and later Civlcad, before becoming MAGNET in 2013.”

Aptella will be hosting MAGNET Office workshops in Auckland and Tauranga in early April. With two-hour sessions that cover the latest workflows, features and benefits, the workshops offer an opportunity to meet the Aptella team, ask questions and network with other survey professionals.

“I look forward to meeting our customers in New Zealand and discussing how we can best support their businesses into the future,” Adam adds.
