Blindsight, the AI-driven vision safety solution, has been named joint winner of the prestigious Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) Innovation and Technology Award for 2024, recognising its transformative impact on workplace safety.
Technology solutions provider Aptella announces that Blindsight, an advanced AI safety solution developed by Presien and deployed by Aptella, has been awarded the QMCA Innovation and Technology Award for 2024. The award highlights Blindsight’s role in enhancing safety standards across the industry by providing real time hazard detection and actionable insights for businesses.
“Winning this award is a testament to the power of innovation in improving safety outcomes,” said Nicholas Corr, Market Development Manager of Safety at Aptella. “Blindsight is already making a difference by protecting workers and equipping managers with the data they need to drive lasting improvements. We are supporting customers to onboard this game-changing technology and unlock its full potential.”
Mr Corr added, “A customer recently told me, ‘Blindsight has given us such confidence in our data that we’ve redesigned pedestrian traffic movements and now have a far greater awareness of what’s happening on site.’ This level of safety insight is exactly what organisations need to drive real change.”
With locations throughout Australia, Southeast Asia, and New Zealand, Aptella supports the civil construction, building, mining, and geospatial industries with world leading technology solutions. As emerging systems develop apace in automation, robotics, and augmented positioning for smart cities, the Aptella team will continue to work collaboratively to understand project challenges and opportunities, innovate solutions, and partner with customers for the long term.
Alongside co-winner ACCIONA AU & NZ, who were recognised for their outstanding work on the Brisbane Metro project, Mr Corr accepted the award on behalf of the many people who have contributed to bringing Blindsight’s benefits to life for valued customers and the wider sector.
