Aptella is looking a Survey Manager to join their team in 2026. The Survey Manager plays a critical leadership role, overseeing the delivery of surveying services across multiple projects while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement to support successful project outcomes and the ongoing growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage surveying operations across projects, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and compliant outputs
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to survey teams in both field and office environments
- Plan and allocate resources to meet project timelines, budgets, and client requirements
- Review and approve survey methodologies, calculations, and deliverables
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company safety systems, and site requirements
- Mentor, develop, and support the performance of survey staff
- Act as a key point of contact for clients on surveying-related matters
- Drive continuous improvement in survey processes, systems, and technology adoption
About You
You are an experienced surveying professional with a strong technical background and proven leadership capability. You thrive in a fast-paced, project-based environment and are confident managing people, priorities, and stakeholders.
You will bring:
- An Australian recognised tertiary qualification in Surveying or a related discipline
- Significant experience in land, construction, or engineering surveying
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising survey teams
- Strong knowledge of surveying standards, methodologies, and relevant legislation
- High proficiency with modern survey equipment and software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Results-driven with strong attention to detail
